MARENART
Artist Painter

I am an artist painter and a musician. When I play the guitar, in my mind I need to visualize a palette of colors that form a pictorial tonality in harmony with my nature. When I use my color palette in order to capture a painting on the canvas, in my head I have to hear the musical notes making up a melody in perfect harmony with the colors I am using.

For me, art is a union of different elements where the unconscious is blended with the subconscious, the visible with the invisible, and can be expressed in different ways and in different dimensions. I cannot separate my painter side with that of a musician, because both are closely related.

"Legendary Women" is a collection of pictorial works inspired by women of the history and literature that made mark to Maren.

There is something vital, true and essential in Maren’s work that approaches us to the supreme essence of the creative art, understood as a spiritual necessity, not merely chrematistic. His artwork is a pentagram in which the notes flow in the shape of chromatic poetry on a pictorial support which sometimes gets trapped by the western sun. With characters and scenes full of splendour and tenderness of that who admires and respects the diverse cultures.

In other occasions he lets his imagination fly into symbolic dreams taking us to a magical universe where the colours are infinite. Right to the point where the twilight turns into a symphony of shades which become real. With his portraits the author expresses himself with a faraway look cadence of times of love and beauty. He outlines his brushstrokes capturing the souls to reflect them on the faces and playing with compositions that define the personality of the depicted characters, with their fears and longing. All this, with no doubt, is the product of his creative, coherent and thoughtful philosophy overwhelmed with hope, with the caress of the brush on the canvas. A hope that he, more than anyone else, knows how to conquer day by day, minute by minute and moment by moment. Not anyone being able to steal from him these mysterious instants in which the legend becomes a myth.
